A deep feeling I am not supposed to be in the cold and grey for this long, the thing that wakes me up are natures reminders taht lighter times are coming. When I started it was snowdrops, daffs, bluebells, blossom, the waking up of the earth captured me as much as I wanted to capture it.
Most photographers will teach you settings, lighting, boring shit. What you really wanna do if you are brave enough to make art, is make the art your heart calls you to. Is forge a style in a path that has not been walked before. Is marry concepts in your mind, and show the viewer how you see the world.
Photography felt like the safest way to heal my inner child artist. I figured as I was posting my art, people would be judging- they do, get over it, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, our job is not to make art that no one will cristise, our job is to make art that we enjoy making, and build enough resilience, that while they are judging we are already onto the next piece. That is what I told myself, and for 1 yearI took one photo a day, in the belief that if I continued I would naturally get better, as a child would.
